Split end is something that all girls have faced at least once in their lives. Many times, we are the reason it got damaged! The last resort is having them cut. Unfortunately, it leaves you with a shorter hair. Now, you got here because you want to know how to fix them without resorting to having them trimmed off.

The food we eat plays an important role in the growth and health of our hair. Lacking important nutrients like biotin and folic acid (take an integral part in rebuilding the keratin of the hair). The proper amount of these vitamins is a bit difficult to complete in a not-so-well-thought-off diet (guilty about it!). The good thing is, there are supplements you can buy and take regularly.

2.Use Leave-On Conditioner

When we are in a hurry, we often max out our heating tools to dry and style our hairs faster. I’m sorry ladies, this is a bad habit. But if you can’t help it, at least put on leave-on conditioner to nourish your hair and prevent split ends from developing.
Don’t let your busy days destroy your hair!

Not all products are created the same. Some are made for curly hair and some for straight hair. If you are dealing with split ends, you may want to use something that says repair, or nourishing, or hydrating on it. The problem with split end is dryness which leads to brittleness. Look for a conditioner that says split end repair.

These products are formulated to aggressively hydrate your hair and repair split ends. They may be a little expensive than regular conditioners, but that’s what can help you!

4.Weekly Application Of Hair Serum

Aside from regularly using a hydrating conditioner and wearing leave-on, a hair serum will work best to repair split ends. Hair serums can give a noticeable change in your hair in just one use! Regular application of it, at least once a week (depending on how heavily you style your hair everyday), can repair and promote healthy growth of your hair!

So, aside from being an effective split end treatment, your hair is also nourished and grows healthier!

How To Prevent Further Damage

How To Prevent Further Damage

To prevent split ends from coming back, you need to take extra care of your hair and be mindful about the products and treatments you employ to prevent long term damage! Surprisingly, some of the products you can use are just right up your kitchen cupboard!

Here are the ways to prevent your hair from having split ends.

1.Use Natures Gift

Natural oils can help repair, strengthen, and make your hair pretty and shiny! If you are worried about the smell of these natural oils, use them at night after you showered and dried your hair. You can use coconut oil, olive oil, sesame oil, jojoba oil, or a combination to nourish your hair!

Depending on the length of your hair, place a few drops of oil in your hand and rub it in your hair starting from the ends while gently massaging your way up! You can use a bristle brush after to evenly distribute the oil.

2.Honey And Coconut Oil Hair Mask

Treating your hair with a hair mask from time to time can restore the healthy shine of your hair and maintain its hydration. Mix in part honey for every two parts of coconut oil and apply a liberal amount to your hair. Leave for about half an hour to an hour before rinsing and see a noticeable difference.

3.Do Not Force a Brush!

Brushes, especially bristle brushes, have smaller spaces between every tooth of the bristle which makes brushing a little hard if you haven’t untangled your hair yet. Forcing a brush can damage your hair! We all know this, but, we all have this bad habit!

Make sure that you have a wide-toothed comb always available! Use this to untangle your hair and work your way until they are all gone before using a bristle brush!

4.Participate In Protecting Your Hair!

We don’t really mind the weather that much. We just wear some comfy clothes that will protect us from the hot, cold, humid, and rainy weather. Unfortunately for your hair, it can be directly be affected by the harsh weather! The rays of the sun, humidity, and too much cold can weaken and damage your hair!

Participate in protecting your hair by walking under shades! Wearing a hat on sunny days make sure that your hair is not directly exposed to the sun. A bonnet can keep your head and your hair warm during cold weather and protect your hair from extreme cold!

5.Choose Styling Products Wisely

I know you ladies have a favorite hair product that effectively helps you manage and style your hair. But, aside from this convenience, we should also be aware of the contents of the products we use. We should read labels and start avoiding products that have the potential to damage your hair in the long run.

There are great organic products (not containing, sulfates and parabens) that are as effective too! They can be a little expensive but, that is the price we pay for a healthier hair!

If all else fails, cutting the tips of your hair will be your best solution to take out those annoying split ends! Have a friend help you!
