The Ultimate Skin Care Routine For The Working Mother

Are you a working mother? Do you juggle your limited time working, taking care of your kids and cleaning the house? If so, do you still have enough time to take care of yourself?

As working mothers, we know you already have your hands full, but that doesn’t mean that you should forget about yourself, most especially your skin! With that in mind, we have decided to help you out by giving you the ultimate skin care routine that can easily fit your hectic schedule and suit your needs well!

Morning

We know that morning is the most stressful part of the day for you. That’s why we have decided to create a skin care routine that is plain, simple and time efficient. Here is the best skin care routine for the working moms:

Cleanse
1

Cleanse

Keep in mind that the goal of cleansing should be to get rid of all these elements without stripping the skin of its much-needed moisture. To ensure this, you should use a mild cleanser that contains hyaluronic acid and ceramides that will keep your skin soft, clean and well moisturized.

Moisturize
2

Moisturize

In addition to cleansing, you must never forget to moisturize your skin. That’s true even for people with oily skin. Since you will be out all day and you will be exposed to heat, dirt, and dust, you should opt for a moisturizer that is lightweight and grease-free and would work well under your makeup.

Protect
3

Protect

And the most important part of all—sun protection. Since you will be exposed to the sun, you would need to protect your skin from sun and its damaging effects. For this, you should use a sunscreen that contains zinc oxide and with an SPF of not less than 50. Do not forget to reapply this all throughout the day.

Bedtime

Since you most probably have more down time at night (we hope so!), we have decided to add a few necessary skin care steps for your best skin care routine at bedtime. Here are some of them:

  • Remove makeup – Most probably, you wore makeup to work, right? Well, the first thing that you need to do is to remove your makeup it using an oil-based remover (for waterproof makeup) or a dual-base remover (for other products). Avoid rubbing your eyes and use pre-soaked cotton pads to easily remove eye makeup.
  • Cleanse – Again, you can use your morning cleanser for this. It would work just as well!
  • Tone – Our skin is naturally acidic, and toning helps to maintain the pH level of the skin. When choosing a toner, opt for an alcohol-free one so it would not dry skin.
  • Moisturize – For a night cream, you can opt for something heavier, thicker and contains more active ingredients like rose hip oil, vitamin C, and the likes.

Add-ons

1) If You Have Additional 5 Minutes, Apply The Serum
Serum is a big hit in the skin care industry because it contains smaller particles of minerals and vitamins that can easily and deeply penetrate the skin and protect it from possible signs of aging.

2) If You Have 10 Minutes More To Spare, Add a Mask
There are different types of face mask in the market—brightening, tightening, detoxifying and hydrating. Choose one based on your skin’s needs.

3) If You Have An Excess Time of 12 Minutes, Put on Eye Cream
They say that the signs of aging are first seen in the area surrounding our eyes. To protect this delicate skin area, use an eye cream that contains vitamins C and E.

4) Every Other Day, Use a Scrub
The goal of exfoliation is to remove dead skin cells to promote cell regrowth and skin renewal. It is also the best way to achieve a healthy glow!

Follow these simple steps, and you will be able to maintain your healthy and youthful glow, no matter how tight your schedule is!
